The Malabo Bible School, an Assemblies of God Bible school in Equatorial Guinea, Central Africa, is a beacon of hope where strong Pentecostal leaders are trained. Two excellent examples of leaders who were trained at the school are Carpoforo Ochago, general treasurer of the Equatorial Guinea Assemblies of God, director of the Bible school and a pastor; and Jaime Malele, teacher at the Bible school and a pastor.
Today, you can help us invest in and train a new generation of leaders for the national church in Equatorial Guinea who can rightly divide and preach the Word of God. The church has a great need for more strong leaders right now because some congregations are being influenced by deceptive leaders who are proclaiming false teachings and by the propagation of African traditional religions. We need to combat this onslaught of false teaching by making sure each church has a biblically trained leader.
Bible School Director Carpoforo Ochago was saved as a teenager through the ministry of a missionary couple, called to ministry, and trained at the Malabo Bible School. He was an excellent student and became an anointed preacher with a gifting to teach the gospel and explain the Word. His ministry is a powerful testimony to the effectiveness and influence of solid biblical training.
Pastor Jaime Malele was saved as an adult when his sick child was visited in the hospital by a missionary who shared the gospel. Like Carpoforo, Jaime was called into the ministry. His biblical knowledge was limited at the time, but he attended Bible school and excelled in the program. Today, he is a faithful pastor and dynamic teacher at the Bible school.
Equatorial Guinea has many wonderful, biblically trained Assemblies of God pastors who have established healthy churches. Because of the training they received, these men and women are effective church planters, pastors and missionaries.
But we need many more like them to teach against the false practices that can spread when ministers are poorly trained. Issues in the church can surface, causing the ministry to suffer and believers to struggle. Their pastors need training! For this reason the Bible school in Malabo is very important, and we need your help to expand its reach!
We need $12,000 to help complete a much-needed expansion to the Malabo Bible School campus, in order to give the Bible school a greater capacity to train a new generation of leaders. Will you partner with us to help meet this need? Your gift today of $10, $25, $50, $100, $300, $500, $1,000 or more toward the full amount will enable the Bible school to expand its facilities for training so they can enroll a greater number of students and train them to preach and teach the true Word of God.
Men and women like Carpoforo, Jaime and other competent, biblically trained ministers will provide the kind of doctrinally sound leadership the church needs. Thank you for your love for Africa and for partnering with us to strengthen the church in Equatorial Guinea by training the next generation of leaders.Give now
