I was to leave today for Uganda for a week long teachers enrichment conference for our teachers from all over East Africa.
I drove to Ft. Campbell Kentucky to help my oldest Son, Scott, move many of his belongings back home. He will be deployed to Afghanistan early next month for a year.
Today I met with Pastor George Fernandes of Cape Verde. He is asking for our help with training pastors on this African Island nation. I told him we would do what we could to assist them.
We were privileged to have Missionary Harry Osland with us for our team devotions today. Harry and Beth are missionaries to Portugal and Angola.
Judy and I had the privilege of having dinner with a good number of newly appointed missionaries to Africa tonight.
I have gained some significant insights these last couple of days in ways to facilitate the work in Africa through financial planning.
I was privileged to speak at Pleasant Valley Church, Springfield, MO this morning. I was able to share some of the stories of what God is doing across Africa.
The church in Africa is growing by an average of 2,279 new believers every day. We have a huge job to provide pastors for these new believers who can disciple them.
We are now planting 48 churches a week in Africa. These churches all need pastors. Today we had an all day leadership team meeting with the board of Africa's Hope.
