OREGON MINISTRY NETWORK

TRANSLATION INITIATIVE

Reaching the Horn of Africa for Christ
The Translation Initiative is a partnership between the Oregon Ministry Network and Africa’s Hope to reach the African horn for Christ. Across sub-Saharan Africa there are 867 unreached people groups. The way these people groups will be reached is through Spirit-filled, biblically trained leaders. There are nearly 15,000 students training for ministry across Africa today. For most of these students, English is not their first language. That is why the Translation Initiative is so critical. For these students to be able to study for ministry in their first (heart) language, the effectiveness of our training programs will exponentially increase. These students will plant churches, evangelize, and disciple more effectively because they were able to study in their heart languages.

By translating Africa’s Hope training materials into the heart languages of Amharic, Oromiffa, and Somali, we can transform the Horn of Africa for Christ.
