Greetings! In what seems to have been prophetic foresight, the Assemblies of God leaders from across the continent of Africa met in 1989 in anticipation of unprecedented growth over the next ten years. This meeting mandated the Africa Theological Training Service (ATTS) as a means for facilitating and preserving this anticipated harvest.
As it turned out, during the 1990's, the number of members and adherents grew some 400% to nearly ten million. This growth has continued to a present total of over 13.3 million. It is the dynamics of rapid growth and an often under-trained church and ministry that drive all the ministries of Africa's Hope. Our task is truly exciting and deeply challenging.
We firmly believe that Spirit-empowered, trained leaders are Africa's Hope, and that the Holy Spirit is mobilizing the African church for a mighty role in fulfilling Christ's final commission to "make disciples of all nations."
